There’s something about leaving that makes you appreciate the place where you are. Every stroll down the street, every trip to the local stores, every meal with friends, and indeed every chance encounter. We love our neighbourhood.
Time to say so long, and thanks to all our friends who made our last few weeks so memorable: those who fed us while we were knee deep in packing and purging, who gave us little travel gifts, and many, many travel tips and best wishes.
It’s been an amazing last few weeks, and our friends and community have set a high standard for comparison as we travel the world. As we like to say, we live in a village in the city of Toronto.
The results of our packing challenge: one yard sale (you have to love Parkdale for a yard sale – everything is gone by noon!), over a dozen bags of clothes donated to Cerebral Palsy, and four extra garbage bags at the curb. Not bad.
